With great regret, we are pausing the regular publication of IndigoTeen. We still want to bring you new issues, but we can only resume producing them once enough funding is available.
Over our first five issues, we have loved giving young people a place to share their stories, ideas and creativity. Making that space possible, however, takes more than enthusiasm. Each issue involves over 50 hours of volunteer work collecting submissions and planning the magazine, followed by paid design work to bring those contributions together.
That design work has been paid for largely out of our own pockets. Although magazine sales contribute towards production, they have not been enough to cover it, and we can no longer make up the shortfall ourselves.
As much as we believe in IndigoTeen, the magazine cannot continue on its creators’ inspiration and personal funds alone. Its next chapter now depends on support from the community it was created for.
To make that support visible, we are adding a funding counter to our website. It will show how much still needs to be raised before we can produce the next issue. Every magazine purchase and sponsorship contribution will help us move towards that goal.
While we work towards it, all five existing issues will remain on sale. They can now also be purchased from a wide variety of online shops worldwide. Depending on your location, these shops may offer a more affordable price than ordering directly through our website.
Alongside this, our submission system will continue to receive your work automatically, ready for consideration when production resumes.
